WOO HOO!

FInally found the last two packages I was looking for in GTA:VC. I was getting discouraged because they were in the last 15 I searched for but I found one and then two places later I found the other. Nice to have that out of the way. Didn't take as long as I thought. I remember getting both of them before though..just forgot to save.

GOing up to Saskatoon with Jeremy and the Parents on Wednesday so that Jeremy can get his other eye done. THat's all I know about that situation.

Bloodrayne - Uggh, where do I start??? Uwe Boll is a douchebag. Ok, the fight scenes were terriblle. I could have done better coreographing(or hawever it's spely). The fights were forced, had very choppy movement and the blood and gore was eteremly overdone and very, very fake. I could have done better with Ketchup. Although some bigger(not big but decent) actors were in it, none of them put on a good performance and a lot of times it sounded like they were reading the line, then saying it, then reading, then talking. THrough all this there was a story line thas was hard to follow and some decisions made by characters that just didn't make sense. like Rayne trying to defeat the enemy by giving herself up and getting thrown in jail with no plan on how to get out. THe story line was pretty good but the movie just needed a better director to better use the budget and to coax some better acting out of the actors. I think all the actors could have put up a better performance(well, maybe not Billy Zane). Oh, and for some reason they had a Bloodletting montage at the end. They just showed a bunch of the crappy bhloody sequences at the end for no reason, some of the people were bleeding like they were from Kill Bill. All in All, I get the idea that this movie is a corvette but Uwe Boll just doesn't know how to drive. I give it 4 spontaneous jail sex scenes out of 10.

Fkrasmgirmkdg.

That's right, I have no idea of what I want for a title. Not too much happening lately. Been throwing away more of my crap in hopes to continue lowering the amount of stuff I am bringing to Vancouver. Turns out that we are driving out there so I will be able to bring more stuff. I'm happy with it.

Gots a printer now. It's fancy. One of them Printer scanner and all that thingy's that everyone and thier uncle has.

Trying to improve my guitar skills lately. I'm starting to teach myself some chords. I used to know a bunch but those damn powerchords moved in.....god I love power chords. I've also learnt how to do Pinch Harmonics. Too bad I can't get a half decent sound out of them. I'm not perfect but a little practice and maybe a better sounding amp or pedal and I'll have 'em down.

Tales from McDonald's - part 3

At the back of the store we have the rack where we keep the syrup for our pop. IT is then pumped out of the rack to up front where it is served to costumers. The syrup comes in bags and when one gets empty the girls up front tell us in the back to change it. They can tell it is empty because they pop will be very thin. Every once in a while we get someone who has a real blonde moment though. On at least three seperate occasions it has been decided that the machine up front is broken because the pop is tasting funny and they stop serving it to costumers. At the end of the night when I go back to unhook the machine I usually find that is was just an empty bag and the girls up front were to lazy to check, or ask me to check. Stupid girls.

One for the Tool Fans

Ok, for those of you who have the new Tool cd and want another listening experience, here's a tidbit for ya. Take Viginti Tres and Wings for Marie and put them one after another, Viginti Tres being first. They should equal about 11:13. 10,000 days is also this long. Play 10,000 days and the other two at the same time. Although sometimes it doesn't sound like a perfect match there are others where it really enhances the listening experince. If your not sure if your doing it right, I've got it done right.

Oh Jeremy, Why Must Though Loath Me So??

Right now I have about 140 Hours of music on my computer, about half of which I have never listened to or haven't listened to it enough to remember it. IT is mixed in with Green Day, Weezer, Pantera and Sublime. I've been slowly whittling away the stuff I haven't listened to. But every time I get ahead I get setback. Like when the new Tool cd came out, that's all I was listening to. As well as the System of a Down cd's I bought and the newest Pearl Jam cd. Every once in awhile, Jeremy comes along and introduces me to a band and that puts the rest of the music on hold because I want to listen to them. He did it with Sublime. Now he's done it with Rush. Although I had heard Rush before, I had never really listened to them. The other night we watched one of Thier DVD's and now I am the proud owner of Rush Gold, basically a greatest hits collection. Thanks Jeremy, now I can't listen to the rest of my music.

TALES FROM MCDONALD'S - part 2

We have some signs up on walls that make me laugh. I'm going to tell you about two of them. One of these signs is your typical No Soliciting sign, but on the bottom it states that no worker is allowed to pass literature on to another. So basically, if I wanted to lend you Hamlet at work so that you could take it home to read it, I could get in trouble. We'd have to wait till we were out of the building.

Another sign is posted at the Wal-mart McDonald's only. It is a sign that will help you deal with the press if they come. It tells you to wait for a manager, have the reporter go sit at a table and give him a free coffee, but do not allow him to talk to any of the other costumers. Always be pleasant and do not answer any questions. Then it has a phone number of a 24 hour hotline that McDonald's workers can phone in order to help them deal with the press.

Pretty funny shit, eh? Kinda sad too.

Fuck them.

Decided to stay up late last night figuring I could sleep in because I don't work till 5. Of course my dad just had to carry on a very loud conversation with my mom outside my door and begin replacing a window at 8 this morning. I think he wants my help but if he knocks on my door again I think I'll just tell him to fuck off. I had a really fucking bad sleep last night. The back of my head is peeling and therefore is extremely fucking irritating.

Uggh.

K, so, for those of you who are wondering why I would shave my head, look at it from my point of view...I have the thickest hair on the planet and the temperature is 30* outside. A large amount of hair on your head just makes you hot. I spent the whole day outside at work(got some nasty burns on my arms and neck) and I was glad I had no hair because it was a hell of a lot cooler than a bunch of hair. Plus, everyone at work seems to like it so I think I'm gonna keep it shaved, maintain the length.

And now, for your reading pleasure, I give you the newest section to come to Randomization:

TALES FROM McDONALD'S - part 1

You know how on boxes, they write both the french and english? For some things the only difference is a du in it or some accents. Check this box out we have at work. The only difference is the order of the words. There are no additional accents or letters. They could have taken out the middle sauce and saved a lot of money. They must think people are pretty stupid and wouldn't be able to figure stuff out if it's in the wrong order.

Vancouver, ho!

Well, the trip to Vancouver went exceptionally well and I have fallen in love with the city. While I was there I didn't see one McDonald's bag or Slurpee cup on the road. It really is a beautiful city. Plus we just happened to be there on the three days in which it didn't rain all year. Found a basement house about 12 blocks from my school. It's easily within walking distance of everything I need plus my great aunts house. O have a shitload of pictures but most of them turned out like crap. Very blurry. I also have some video s of the sea otters and beluga whales at the aquarium but they aren't any better. I'll still put them up sometime though. I want to sort through them all first. We walked around the main stretch in the area we were and my great aunt Irene drove us around and over to the ocean.

The school istself was very impressive. For those of you wondering, It is the PAcifica Audio Visual Institute, or PAVI. There equipment was very nice. The have two different rooms and it quickly occured to me that although they are up on technology and keeping everyone up to date, they still take lessons from stuff that has worked in the past. Most of the recording is done on computer but thier sound boards are 10 and 30 years old, they keep them because they sound so good though. Thier main one is actually the older one. It's a very perfessional looking building and they have a few gold, platnium and silver records on the wall. The only one which I have heard of was 98 degrees(puke) but whatever. All in all I think i'm going to enjoy the city.

I'm gonna put some pictures on my photo album soon but like I said, I want to sort through them first.

Freakin' EH!!!

Well, saw the school here in Vancouver and I was really impressed. It didn't look like much on the outside but from the inside it looked awesome. They have some really nice equipment there. We also found a house for me. I'll have my own room and have to share a kitchen and some bathrooms with three other people but that's no big deal. Been taking a lot of pictures here, got 150 already. Too bad they all suck because my camera sucks. Gonna buy a new one once I'm back in Weyburn. I get paid thursday so that'll be good.

Stuffage to the Maxage!

Not too much to say today, gots a movie review for ya's all.

Going to Saskatoon with the 'rents and Shanna on Monday. Won't be back till thursday. I can't wait to get out there. I'm really excited. Shanna's nervous because of her fear of high places but she'll get over it. I wish I could take a new camera over there. mines been acting up coupled with the fact that it's a peice of shit in the first place. I've got my eye on a 450 dollar Digital SLR at Wal-mart. I'd go somewhere else but I don't want to have to pay too much. I think it will do what I want and then some, allowing me to do some fancy stuff with it. Unfortunatly I only have 300 bucks, I need another 150 and I don't get paid till thursday, the day I come home. That said, If I can find a good deal on one I might get the 'rents to lend me some money in Vancouver, if I'm lucky.

Without A Paddle - Three childhood friends set out on a treasure hunt when the forth member of thier group dies. To fullfill his wishes they set off to find the treasure of a parachuter and end up being lost in a farest being chased by drug dealers and bears and getting into all sorts of trouble. A very funny movie. I would suggest you watch it. It kinda got all sappy with the good ending and having a good message coming across at the end but whatever. I give it 8 bear phones out of 10.

Holy monkey!

Can't stop listening to the new Tool cd. It's that awesome.

So, Shanna's in town for a couple weeks.....Wish someone would have told me that before hand.

She's killing gang members right now.

She's is also being mean and saying that I said things I didn't.

Can't wait to get into Vancouver next week. I really want to get going.

Holy Fuck!

These guys are fucking NUTS!

So, for starters, the new Tool Album entitled 10,000 days is at the Weyburn Wal-mart. For seconders, the cover art does not disappoint. YOu look at it and see a cd cover with two lenses on the front. Every second page in the booklet contains some of the most amaing 3d art in the world that can only be seen through the stereoscopic lenses. There's even a warning about them. Every picture is in 3d, even the playlist and cd title. FUCKING AMAZING!! I think it parallels Lateralus any day. One of the drawings actaully shows a really cool drawing of the inside of a human but you can still see the outside...hard to explain, go buy the cd.

Would You Like Fries WIth That?

Just got off a long shift. I got stuck closing with two of the most hyper girls in the world. Just looking at them made them go into a fit of giggling. Plus it was pretty busy all night. The stuff that I usually had done before seven didn't get done till 9:30. Still made pretty good time though. I'm not sure why so many people are geting drunk on a Sunday night but whatever.

Can't stop listening to the new Tool cd. I can't wait till it comes out.

Went and did sound for the Variations concert today. Got a little experience. I had never really been behind a sound board before and really looked at it to figure out how to work it. They had a pretty sophisticated one at the church. YOu could even add effects to everything. It had a pretty crappy way off making the headphones work though. I can't wait to start school in Vancouver. Get using some good equipment. I imagine I'll have a lot of chances to use the equipment to record my own music, which will be awesome. There's a good chance that I'll meet some guys(or gals) that I could be in a band with too, which would be awesome.
