I Told You They Were Real

1 vs. 2

1. Living in a safe city with nothing to do, friends you don't really like and with family(parents and a sibling) and a job that means a guaranteed future with work that isn't that bad and a great boss who loves the work you do...

...or...

2. Living in a city with more crime with friends who keep asking when your heading up, some family(brother, aunts and uncles) who keep asking when your heading up, a job that may not be a good but still pretty much guaranteed and possibly more chances to show off your talents.

which would you chose.

AY! CHIEF!!!

Well, it's happened. I am a junior crew chief. I had my own crew, business cards, phone, and a bunch of other stuff that went with it. It seems that I have impressed Pat so hopefully it stays. Sadly though one of our guys quit so I've been stuck back with Miles but it's not so bad. With him at least you know your getting shit done!

Since I've been a crew chief I decided to go out and buy an iPod and a little radio transmitter thing so that I can listen to my music in the truck. It's pretty sweet but I don't like it's method of putting songs onto the iPod. about half my music it says are not the right format yet it has still put on others of the same format. In fact, sometimes the split happens on the same album that was downloaded to my comp all at once so there shouldn't be a difference.

Gave buying music a try for the first time because of it. I bought Serj Tankians new video(pretty cool) and a Dream Theater album for 10 bucks which would normally have cost me 20. So I think if I ever want to buy music that's where I'm going to go, although the music library isn't very complete. Doesn't have any Tool(but has Puscifer) I figure it's probably still being worked on. Now the only thing is to stop myself from buying too much music because now that it is so accessible I can see myself having the problem. Guess we get to see how strong my will-power is.

And now, for all of you poets out there:

I Kick Ass!

It's True, I do.

Went up and saw Tool last week. Another great performance even though it was kinda ruined by the fact that you could barely hear Maynard but that's probably the soundman's fault. Came home with a pretty cool shirt and another awesome concert experience.

Did a shit load of recording and mixing for the next Oligodendroglia album on Sunday. Went up to Regina Saturday and picked up Jon's bass for the recording. It's coming along really nice, better than I thought it would. Mind you, I've also been taking a hell of a lot more time on it than any past experiences or than I expected.

In other news, I've been sent off with my own crew lately at work and today I surveyed my first well. 1B13-5-9-6-2. Pretty surprised I managed to do it because nobody told me how to calculate a well...I had to figure out how to do it myself. It took almost all but we got it. Actually, I spent more time doing notes and figuring out how to do them properly than I did figuring out how to calculate the well. The well was pretty simple.

THAT'S IT!!
