Dyson.....3D...Round Thing

The Dyson Sphere. A large spherical structure built around a star to completely enclose and capture all energy from that star. It was proposed in 1960 by Freeman Dyson, a physicist. Since then, people have modified the idea into a swarm and other stuff. The main problem with a structure circling a object with gravity is that if even one molecule gets closer than the others, the gravity increases which causes it to have more gravity pulling it and before long you have part of you sphere in the sun.

Another problem with a Dyson Sphere, is that it is still bound to the star. What happens if the star is at the end of it's life? No Hydrogen left to fuse, just death. Then everything dies and the sphere becomes a dead husk, if it survives the expansion and everything else of the stars end of life.

But, what if instead of building a Dyson Sphere around a star, we built a star inside of a Dyson Sphere. Make it into a giant ship that travels from star to star, stealing hydrogen. It can expel some out the back as propulsion and then steal more as it gets closer to the new star. All computer powered since it'll take longer than a human life to travel. But it could last billions of years.

I'm sure we could create magnetic fields to keep it centered in the ship. Or maybe even slightly forward so that the ship wants to fall forward to be centered again? Maybe not on that one. Might need some thinking.

I know, I know. This is all crazy. I really haven't changed anything with the Dyson Sphere, but for some reason looking at it likes just makes more sense to me, but I've never heard anyone suggest it. I've seen structures that sit in front or behind of a star to use it for fuel to fly around. This is just a mix. We put stuff in a magnetic holding device all the time. It's not easy but easily within the realm of human technology and knowledge. But try and maintain the location all that stuff around that object instead as it moves around. Yeah, that would suck.

And if do it right we can elongate it so it is kind of pill shaped. Do we need to? No. Would we be able to name it the Pilon Pill then? Yes.

Maybe once we get a Pilon as a pope he can campaign to get the Pilon Pill going.
