Coats
You ever want some Heraldry? Like the ancient knights? You can get one, here in Canada, but it costs more than it's worth for someone like you and me. I've researched them before, just as a curiosity here in Canada. They are per person, but can be passed down in many cases. I've always though, how do you decide what to put on it, but you get to just choose cause it's for you, not your family.
There also isn't a law saying you can't make your own as long as you don't claim it's real and don't use any of the official symbols of Canada. So lets make some!
First off, the coat of arms is generally for a shield so it is flat on top but with a pointy bottom. Nuts to that. I would much prefer a round shield and since this isn't an official arms, that is what I will use. One of the general rules is that you have parts that are metal coloured (silver, gold, white, etc) and then the painted sections. I like this. I'll stick with it.
In the center, there will be an unpainted circle, about half the diameter of the shield, maybe less. The outside portion will then be split into four arcs with the separations being in an X configuration so there is a top, bottom, left and right arc. The left and right ones will be painted red. The top one will be sky blue and the bottom yellow. This'll symbolize the flat fields we live in and the living skies. They will also be left empty.
In the center circle there will be a maple leaf painted red. Easy. Love it. The left one will have three music note icons in kind of an arc painted white. The right one will have three save icons (or floppy discs) also in an arc, also painted white.
OK. Coat of arms for a shield is done. Next up, the crest. This is a small thing that would go on your helm and is often shown on heraldry above the main coat of arms. In this case, the helm will be replaced by a toque and the crest itself will be a beaver. Basically the exact same image from a nickel.
Next up, the two animals on the sides that are usually holding up the shield. Could go Beaver again, maybe a Moose. All very Canadian animals, but I think we all know the real answer. Cobra Chickens. Unless I don't want it to be a Canadian animal and just be more like me, in which case it's the bat species that sleeps 20 hours a day, Lucky bastard.
Could also make it like the recent Hank Green shirt that is a picture of a Mola with the saying "I don't know what's wrong with me, but it's working." but I just watched that yesterday.
And finally, the motto at the bottom. I wasn't sure what to put there but then I remembered that there is a family motto in my grandmothers Wright family history book. I don't remember it off the top of my head. I'm going to set this to post and here's hoping I remember to look up the motto and update this post before then.
Anyway, there it is. A complete heraldry for myself. Completely official and unpaid for. I'd make AI generate it but a heraldry just seems like too much of a human/personal thing to let AI do it, even if it really is just a symbol of wealthy people lording over us peasants.
What would you have on your heraldry?
P.S. I remembered to get the motto. It is "AD REM" which translates to either "to the point" or "to the purpose." Neither of which describes my blog posts.

I'm telling Capone that you aren't including him as one of the supporters on your coat of arms.
