The State of Our Cities
Should we go back to city states like we had back in the olden times? I mean, I realize it would probably be bad for Saskatchewan as a whole since we get some money and help from the federal government, but is it worth the stress? Mainly I mean that we have such large countries everywhere that what someone wants/needs on the coast is WAY different than someone in the prairies and they will almost never be able to meet in the middle without a lot of frustration.
I've been listening to more history podcasts. Can you tell? The old Roman thing of you only get one year in power and it's a lottery and such is kind of a good idea. Actually, I think someone said it best that in the early days of the USA, when the leaders had day jobs that it was best. None of this making money off your power shit we got going. If we forced politicians to get paid at the average income of a country or lower, you can be damn sure they'd be doing a better job of trying to get that number up. Or just accepting more bribes.
There's always a flaw. Stupid humans.
I would love to sit and do research on politics all day. Let me go work for a think tank and tell everyone what they are doing wrong and what is a better way to do it. Of course, I'd probably get frustrated by nobody listening.
Maybe I should start my own think tank! Andrew's Brain Tank? Think's in a Tank? When You Think Upon a Tank? That's more of a tag line than a name.
I could work on the tag line first. Our smooth brains smooth out your issues! We think so you don't have to. I think, therefore I tank. Tanks for the ideas. Tank, I am your thinker.
Might have to workshop this some more.

I think even if we don't go back to city states, cities should have more power. Because I live in a city and I want more power. Nintendo Power.
