Foreshadow

This past weekend was good ol' Thanksgiving. A time of great food and pie. We headed out to Humboldt to see Daniella's Aunt. Her husband is confined to a wheelchair after a mining accident many years ago so it's easy for us to just go to a restaurant out there and then head to her house after.

Of course, we went the day it was raining and snowing and slushy. I drove the new Subaru which handled well. I have a better driving record than Daniella or her mom and since I haven't had a major incident, it just makes sense for me to drive.

Of course, in hindsight, I shouldn't have fucking said that out loud.

Let us fast forward to yesterday.

Yup. That's my car at about 8am in Warman. And an $80,000 Toyota Supra on the right side. I tried to beat the yellow. He turned left in my way. Technically both our faults, but I'll admit it was a stretch for me to try to beat that yellow, even if I did enter the intersection with it yellow.

I'm back at work today but I am sore. My neck was stiff immediately after but I made sure to massage that all day yesterday and now it's the only muscle that isn't sore. My back and chest muscles that are attached to my shoulders are as tight as guitar strings tuned up. Belle did the concussion inspection protocol with me and I was find. The airbags did their job. Took be a bit to find my glasses after though. They were beside the seat.

The car shut off with the impact and I'm assuming it'll be a write-off but you never know. I wouldn't think it's worth fixing.

So, now I've been in a major incident. And I hope to never do it again.

Oh dude. Feel better soon, I'm glad it wasn't worse for you! Bet Mr/Mrs Supra is not pleased today. You can write off a stock Subaru all day and not be upset but if you own a Supra, you've put some money in it.

This is because of my post about impostors this week isn't it? You were being an impostor thinking you had a good driving record.
