It seems that there is some confusion as to what I was saying about packing in the last post so you can all go to hell.
Silent Hill: Holy fuck. Well, frankly this movie did not disappoint. It drew on what Silent Hill was from the first one and added tweaked the story a little for itself. Although a lot of the story was the same, it got behind what had happened there. And I'm pretty sure some of the areas in the movie were replicas from the game, which is pretty fucking cool. Basically, when a girl has nightmares and screams Silent Hill during them, her adopted mother takes her to Silent Hill. Fucking twisted shit occurs. Frankly, I don't need to see a pyramid head rip a chicks skin off and then huck it at someone....although it was pretty fucking cool. Frankly, It was fucking disturbing.
The directing of the movie was done very well. Nothing exceptionally special was used but it was all used right. Combined together it made for an amazing look. At times they used the lighting to make it look like it was from the video game itself.
I'm giving this movie 10 barbed wire deaths out of 10.

Sorry dude, this movie was barbed wire death. The directing was as good as it could be with the ridiculous cliché dialogue and mediocre actors. Almost all the points I give it are for the art direction. Nicely done. I'm sorry but just because the game is great and super scary doesn't mean it's going to translate well into a movie. In this case I'd say it definitely didn't. There was much potential unrealised. Hollywood really knows how to fuck a good thing up, even when they hire a French director to do it.
