Music Is A Comin'.
Well, nothing much happening in my world. Got tomorrow off so I'm gonna do a shit load of math homework and jam with Linger one last time before Field Fest. I'm pretty pumped to get back up on a stage, even if it is just for one song. With Linger going down and a new band coming up from it's ashes, with me in it, this show is kinda my re-emergence into the music scene...Not that I was in it much but Sisivalant got into a bunch of Weyburn shows.
I'm pretty pumped to get this new band going. I know these guys will wanna take the music in the same direction I do. i want it to be different, experimental and challenging. I don't really get that from the other band I am in. I don't know if any of them read this but I've been thinking of leaving the band but I'm not too sure yet. I like jamming with the guys but I hate writing with them. We can bring stuff in but then they all just want to but it into the standard industry song form...verse, chorus, verse, chorus, verse....and so on. It kinda drives me crazy. Plus our other guitarist, who I must say is a very quick fingered player and knows his theory very well, has trouble with rhythm. And I don't know how to make it easier for him. He wants me to tab everything but I'm not going to waste that much of my time. I'd rather just take the music myself and use it elsewhere, ut we shall see.
Anyway, expect to be hearing something big in the near future.
