BBLLOOOOODDDDD!!

You know, I keep getting the feeling that the people at the blood donor clinic don't like me very much...but still want my blood. I go in there today to give blood and everything was going alright, my pulse was a little high at first but it slowed down. I sit in the chair and they were going to take blood out of my left arm. at first she has trouble finding the vein and then when she sticks me, the needle isn't in properly. I told her the same things happened last time so she pulls the needle out, after I got the hole, and then asks me if I wanted to do the right arm instead. I said what the hell, why not, I'm here. It worked fine but right now I have a hole on the inside of each arm joint.

Bastards. Although, a couple of the nurses working on me were real perty like.

Haven't been doing much else other than that. Went to Shanna's convocation the other day. i got a video of it on my camera but the contrast is so severe that everything on stage, with the lights on it, is just a bright white light. So you can just see this bright white object walking across the stage blending in with the bright white objects behind it. Pretty sweet. I've still got it so if you want to see it just say so.

Also, you all smell.

Got a njew kid at work today so I'm now officially not the new guy, I'm just the other guy that has no idea what he's doing. Pretty swanky. Got my CPr/first aid training coming up on the fourth and fith. They pay for the training plus pay me to be there..AWESOME! Well, anywho. I'm gonna get the hell out of here becasue you all suck. I mean, you call this a suprise party. Whatever. Good night, jerkwads!

Well, It's Official.

As of December 1st(and maybe earlier) I will be out of my parents house and into a different place. Jeremy and I will be moving into a little place about 2 blocks away from my parents house. We get the upstairs and share the laundry facilities with a guy downstairs. It's a pretty nice place with a big yard for Bootsy and a host of other thing-a-ma-jigs. Taquito!

Weekend.

Well, had a good weekend. Steve, Jon and Jared came down so I had someone to hang out with plus Jeremy and I jammed last night. It was pretty funk-a. Got a few moer things for work so now I will be ale to be fairly warm in even the coldest temperatures. Well, not absolute zero, but pretty close to.

OTher than that I haven't been doing to much. I guess I passed my Petroleum Safety Training the other day. I've got a few more courses coming up in the next few weeks that COndon survey is paying for. Pretty sweet.

V for Vendetta - Well, I'm gonna start off by saying that I never read the comic book so this review isn't going to be comparing the two. In a futuristic London where a political party rules the city with an iron fist, a single man stands up and brings forth an idea to the people. I don't know. I really don't feel like saying to much so I'm just gonna say that this movie has a good mix of action, humor, a little romance and a good story line. I thought it was pretty good. Go watch it. I give it 8.5 somethings out of 10.

The Punisher - This is the old one from 1989. Terrible. I give it 3 charging through paper walls out of 10.

Life's Not Fair.

Well, had my first day of work today. It wasn't bad. In the morning I just helped load some of the trucks and then I started taking a course. At about 12:30 I put it on hold because I was going to go help another guy do a complete survey of Fas Gas. We had to mark where everything that was bolted down was. Luckily we have this fancy doohickey that all we do is put it in a spot, push a button and it marks the spot with a name of your choosing. Well, it works if it can get ahold of enough GPS satellites, which sometimes it has trouble doing. Had to get myself a new winter jacket, steel toed boots and a few other things that I'll get later for the job. The skin on my calves is kinda raw because my sock didn't go high enough for the boots. Now I know.

Anyway, this all brings me to my title. 'm sitting there marking where the pumps are when this fuckign sweet mustang pulls up. I'm talking a nice mustang. Betcha it cost a lot. Who would stroll out but my previous manager at the Weyburn Inn, Bonnie. Why does she, a fucking stupid Bitch who probably couldn't fiure out how to get out of a hallway get such a nice car when the rest of us, intelligent people(well, sometimes) who work hard everyday to keep ourselves going(not so much me yet but it'll come) get dick all? She's really lucky that when dhe came into McDonald's 2 months ago that she didn't order any food, becasue I saw her and i would have shit in her burger.

Review

THank You For Smoking - Nick Naylor pulls out the weapon that is his wit to defend the tobacco industry from cancer ridden children, senators and reporters in this comedy about the life of a tobacco lobbyist. A very funny movie. Some big name actors and actresses and a very well written story. I give 'er 19 packs of cigarettes out of 10.

ALRIGHT!!

Ok, so, I went to drop off my resume to Condon survey group. I dropped it off and headed off to Movie Factory to rent a movie. I'm about to open the door and my cell phone rings. It's Pat MAloney of Condon Surveyors wondering if I could come in for an interview. i headed back and after about 30 minutes I walked out with a job and a bunch of dates listed so that I can get the proper education to go out on the field. I start tommorrow, I'll probably just be working inside city limits though. Pretty seet. Starting wage is 10 bucks but it'll probably go up.

Tonite I will be featuring a review of Thank You For Smoking dedicated to Corey and Laura Morriesette(I just realized I have no idea how to spell that, now to go look it up!...........Morrissette. DAMMIT! so close)

Homeage

Well, I'm home. GOt a text message the other day: "We are coming to pick you up this weekend". Boy was I suprised. So I'm back in Weyburn, gonna look for a job and a place to stay. See what happens with all that. Glad to be back. I wasn't liking vancouver too much. IT's just too damn big. But whatever.

I need to get my guitar fixed. The springs on my ridge are wearing out and it sticks out far more than it should.....gotta get that looked at.

tootles.

Homeward Bond...I Mean Bound.

Yup, it's offical. The Parents are coming to pick me up on the 23rd. Things just ain't working out over here. Been able to talk to some people over Google talk so that has gotten rid of some of the boredom, plus a few walks around town. I'll proably take a few more classes just for something to day, and to get a little info out of 'em.

Managed to get into my 0moola account. So that means I'll probably get the rest of the Oligodendroglia cd's up, for those of you who want 'em(Jon).

Sittin' Round

Wassup. Interwebs working a lot better now. Still can't log into MSn for some reason but Google Talk works and Jeremy happens to have it as well so got to talk to him and then he brought it over to the 'rents house so now I can message people. YAY!

Went for a walk today to check out the local main street. Loaded with crappy stores and a lot of people. Sat around for the rest of the day. Started to write another song. Still haven't finished another I've got, hell, I might even combine them. Switched my blog over to the new blogger beta. It's the same as the old with more customization options, still looking into those though. Also installed Google desktop onto my comp, not sure if I like it yet. Not good but not bad.

Probably gonna walk down to the waterfront tommorrow, but maybe not. There is also a mall off a little ways but I'm not sure If I'll head over there, I don't really need to spend any money. figured I'd update more now that I can to make up for the lack of updates for the past two weeks.....enjoy.

Nostomania

Sitting here on the friday night of a long weekend all by my lonesome listening to The Mars Volta and doing some house cleaning on my computer. Aren't I the party animal? My land-lady is out of town for the weekend, which is awesome cause she is driving me up the wall. She's one of those people that always has to be doing something and gets pissed off when other people don't do something very productive. She hates how I sit in my room during the evening and watch tv/play computer/play guitar. She's always telling me that I should go downstairs.....to watch tv. Fuck you bitch. She also won't listen to a word anyone says, she thinks she knows all about everything. She gave me a complete rundown of the music industry the other day and how it works...how she knows I don't know but everything she spouted off was a pile of bullshit and she wouldn't listen to me when I tried to correct her.

Also, I bought a candle to burn and get rid of the stench that was in my room. She doesn't like the smell. But she won't listen to my when I tell her it's the candle. I did my laundry the other day and dumped my clean clothes in the coner, seeing as I have no dresser and not very many hangers. She wals in not 30 minutes later and tells me that my pile of clothes is smelling because something died or took a crap in it and I have to clean them up. I told her three times that I just washed them but she wouldn't listen so I hung them up and then she walks in again and after looking into the closet and my clothes hanging in there tells me that I shouldn't just hang up a few and throw the rest on the floor....there was not a single piece of fabric on the floor in the entire room. I nearly smacked her.

Been watching a lot of Star Trek and CSI lately. They are about the only things on the tv all day. Which I'm not complaining about. I enjoy watching them. It's funny. I watch about 5 hours of tv a day right now and all I have is cable, I used to only watch maybe 30 minutes a day at home when I had satellite. Meh, whatever.

Internet is a lot more stable these days. It actually stays connected and I can surf the net at a decent speed. For some reason I still can't get on msn though. Which sucks....I want to talk to someone. Whatever. I'll probably be back in Weyburn by the end of the month.

Going further in depth in the classes it's starting to occur to me that I'm not cut out for this line of work. Everyone else in the class is way ahead of me(a bunch of them recorded before and just came to make sure they are doing it right so I'm not comparing myself to them), and I'm enjoying it less and less because there is a lot of stuff I just don't understand. And I'm not taking Music Theory into that equation. Everyone is having trouble with that class. Fucking Music Theory. On the other hand we actually recorded someone in the studio the other day, although us students didn't do too much, I learnt a lot and had some fun. We had to record a guy playing acoustic and singing at the same time. It's difficult because you get the vocals bleeding into the acoustic mix and visa-versa. But we(mainly our teacher) managed it. And it sounded pretty damn good. The guy playing was a mix between Chris Isaak and Johnny Cash. He was really good. His "manager" told us that he had hitchiked all the way from Ontario hoping his luck would change. Things are looking up for him.

Fuck I'm cold. my landlady keeps her house at 18 degrees all day. I'm used to 22-23. I'm fucking freezing all the time and she keeps telling me to open my window. The only way I can get it a decent temperature is by leaving my heating blanket on full blast for about 5 or 6 hours with my computer running too.

Anyway, I should let y'all go seeing as I know how much y'all(Jeremy) hate it when someone goes on and one and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on all the time. Chow.

FIRE!

Well, Finally managed to get on the interweb. My internet connection is very bitchy...mainly because I am mooching off other people's since I can't seem to get on the network in this house. But whatever. I guess I should fill y'all in on what has been happening the last little while.

I'll start out by saying that I am in a better mood than I was in on my last two posts. And also, I'm pretty sure that I'm coming home. I'm gonna make the final decision Monday but I can pretty much say already that I'll probably be home at the end of the month.

Everyday since I got here all I've done is go to school from 1:30 till 5:30 and then sit around at home. I'm starting to get to know the guys at school a little but my choice to come home isn't based on how fucking bored I am. Talking to some of the teachers(well, mostly just listening during classes) I found that right now the music industry is in shambles when it comes to stable jobs because there are too many independent studios popping up out there. Any kid can record someone in his basement. This makes it hard for anyone with an enducation to get a stable job, or semi-stable. Also, there are a lot of people going to school for it, another reason it is hard to get a job in the industry. Although I am learning stuff in my classes, I want something that has a little more stability when I'm paying $15000 tuition and will probably have to spend a shitload more after to start my own studio. Probably just go back to Weybnurn and get a job for awhile, sit around and try and figure out what else is out there. I have a few ideas but I have to look deeper into them. Plus I need to get rid of the $3000 of money I just got from my RESP because I like to spend money. I need to put it somewhere safe where I can't get to it.

I'm gonna keep all my textbooks when I come home..they are loaded with good info on the music industry that even a band member would be happy to have. In fact, a few of them I think a band should have to read. Not saying that would be good for the company signing them, but it would help them not get screwed out of thier money. Anyway, I'm typing this in Notepad on Oct 5th, whether it's getting posted today I'm not sure, my internet connection won't let me into the compose area of blogger. I might add more, you never know. YAY!
